Profil Khusnul Khoiriyah, S.Pd., Guru Bahasa Inggris MAN 1 Bandar Lampung

Khusnul Khoiriyah is an English teacher at MAN 1 Bandar Lampung. Usually, the students call her Miss Khoir, but her close friends and family always call her Unul. She was born in 1992 in Nambah Dadi, Central Lampung.

She went to an elementary school at SD N 1 Nambah Dadi which is located in her village. It just took five minutes from her home, so she always arrived at school earlier than the other students.  After graduating from the elementary school in 2004, she continued to SMP N 1 Terbanggi Besar. She just remembered the first time she liked English because she met the best teacher, Mrs. Apriyani. She was pretty and kind-hearted. She also taught English interestingly and easily understood. She never underestimated and always enthusiastically encouraged the students to learn English.

As a result, she really enjoyed learning English and she thought that English was her favorite subject.

Moreover, when she was a student at MAN 1 Central Lampung, she also met an inspiring English teacher; her name was Mrs. Sri. She was the best teacher that she’d ever met. She was inspired by her desire to be an English teacher.

In 2010, she graduated from the senior high school. Then she continued her study in English department program at Ahmad Dahlan University Yogyakarta. While studying, she spent her time to follow some organizations on campus such as EDSA (English Department Student Association), and Senyum Kita which focused on teaching and volunteering for the students in an orphanage.

She loves teaching so much, especially teaching kids. Therefore, in the last semester of her studies, she decided to teach at SD Muhammadiyah Wirobrajan 3 (WIBRAGA). It was the first time she became an English teacher in the school.

She not only likes teaching but also traveling. When she was living in Yogyakarta, she traveled to some cities in Java. The blissful moment to get the mood booster was traveling by train. It’s affordable and safe. She could enjoy the wonderful view from the train window along the way.  She got so many valuable experiences and wonderful memories that she could never forget from the city.

Before she decided back to her hometown, she got full support from her parents to continue her master program at Yogyakarta State University (UNY), which finished in 2018. She was very thankful because she finally completed her studies through struggle and prayer from her beloved family and friends.

After all, she just hopes that her dream of being a professional English teacher can be achieved. All the experiences that she’s gotten from her studies and her life can be applied for the students, especially in MAN 1 Bandar Lampung.
